zoomIN is an installation that deals with different states of zooming in and out of everything else, visualized with Jitter OpenGL as well as made audible with different synthetic sounds. The installation consists of two states – either zooming in on a single scene or seeing all scenes simultaneously in a three-dimensional world, resulting in a huge visual and auditory chaos. The different scenes all consist of a distinctive visual idea (e.g., particle system, geometric shapes) as well as an audible concept that often reacts to the images shown (e.g., granular synthesis, delay systems). Each time the USB pedal is triggered, the installation switches between zoom-in/out states. When zooming in, one of the thirteen available scenes is randomly selected.
