„All it takes is a slight shift in perspective and everything can change dramatically. Whoever can determine perspective has power.“
under[Water] is an installation that deals with different states of being under water, visualized using Jitter OpenGL. It’s a so-called “visual reactive” installation – therefore the sound is controlled by the visuals. The installation consists of two parts – the first part is a particle system exposed to randomly generated forces and can be influenced only with some impulses, using the ultrasonic distance sensor. The second part is a multi-layered and looped video showing the boundary between the water surface and the underwater. The water level can be controlled and changed by hand using the ultrasonic distance sensor. The two parts alternate periodically. The audio is a mixture of recorded samples and synthetic sounds.
